New Additions - 12 July 2008 - Puppies!

Its a special day today because 8 puppies were born! Audrey had 3 blue merles and 5 black tri babies. All are feeding well and gaining weight fast! :)

Photo is of the biggest baby which is the first born :)

thanks Jon! I'm thankful that Audrey is so maternal. All the puppies are well looked after and gaining weight fast! Arson on the other hand is shocked that he is a daddy! Sat outside the room waiting the entire time, and once it was over, heaved a sigh of relief. He is so comical :)

Audrey's tummy wasn't very big. Even Dr Hsu thought that it would be a small litter. Somewhere around 2 to 3 babies.I never imagined we would have 8. I was going to keep all of them if there were 2 only!

I think we have 3 boys and 5 girls. Only 1 black tri boy, and one blue merle girl. I will confirm it with Dr Hsu on monday.

Thanks! We are still shocked by the number of pups! We were only mentally prepared for 3. Hahahahaha. Luckily, I had prepared for enough supplies for 8. Almost ran out of towels midway. -_-

Ya lor! Lucky she is a good mummy, or i probably die by now. LOL. Dr Hsu said he is surprised all the puppies are so big. Today they are 4 days old, eyes not opened yet, but so active already! Amazing.

When we went to dock the tails, my heart dropped when i saw the first tail drop off and roll onto the table! At puppy number 4, i was getting quite immune.On hindsight, i was quite light headed throughout the process. Those that watched the docking videos on youtube would understand. I think our docking process was even longer than normal, as we had a step-by-step instruction guide on how to get it docked properly from our breeder's vet. Dr Hsu commented it was kinda complicated. Heehee

I will post more photos soon, once i name all of them. Having a hard time thinking of names for 2 of the puppies -_-"
